About Kevin Parks 214

Kevin Parks

My name is Kevin Parks, I am a 22 year old college student who has decided to take a risk, or rather, make an investment.

I grew up in Plano, Texas, north of Dallas, and graduated from Plano West Senior High in 2004. After graduation I had no idea what to do except go to college. The decision on where I went was an easy one, since I only applied to one university, Texas State in San Marcos. After 2 years of general study i was forced to pick a major. I met with a counselor and decided on communication design (graphic design) due to my focus on computers and art at the time. After a year of Com-Des, I decided i needed a change, and I also felt that I would be under-prepared for my graduation in a year. Therefore, I decided to look at other schools, majors, and opportunities. Landscape architecture sounded great, however, Texas State does not offer any architecture degrees. I transfered to Texas A&M University due to the fact that they had a nationally renown landscape architecture program, and were still close to home. After a year in the TAMU landscape architecture program, I felt like i would be too specialized after graduation; therefore I switched to a University Studies program. I am currently enrolled in classes at Texas A&M University for a university studies major, with a concentration in the school of architecture known as Global Arts, Planning, Desing, and Construction. I plan for my 2 minors to be business and creativity. I am scheduled to graduate in December 2009 at age 24, at which point i should have a versatile foundation for a successful life.

Around June 19th, I met Tony Minh Duy in the parking lot of Two Creeks plaza, where he and my mom work. He approached me looking for a creative college student; I told him i was his guy. Since then we have been busting our asses, and having a blast trying to get this business ready to launch.
