A gift programmer is a person living offshore who works as a computer programmer, more specifically, a web programmer, whom you can virtually own and, if so desired, give this ownership away as a gift. An elgi who lives in Vietnam is called a velgie. An underemployed professional in a developed country may wish to own several velgies and use them to turn extra time and capabilities into future achievements.
